Saturday, December 13, 10 am – 12 pm Offered in-person and Online!
Join Katie Louvat and Lee Ann Maynard for a gentle yoga practice followed by a relaxing Yoga Nidra meditation—all to benefit The Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Yoga Nidra is the yoga of conscious sleep. It is a powerful practice involving guided relaxation and meditation to inspire the body and the mind toward self-healing. Deep relaxation can help lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety, improve memory and inspire creativity. Treat yourself to this much needed morning of self-care and know that you will also be supporting the important work of The Food Bank of Northern Nevada. There are more people in need of their services than ever before. Appropriate for all levels of students. No experience necessary.
This class is offered in-person and online through Zoom. In-person attendance is limited 15 students.
Let's Help Families Gather Around the Table This Holiday Season
Making sure families have the nutritious meals they need during the holidays is at the center of all of our hearts right now. With your help, those who face hunger will be able to relax and enjoy the season with the knowledge that they don't have to worry about where the food on their table will come from.
Cost: Suggested $40 donation. But feel free to give what you can.
For online participants: We recommend you have 2 – 3 blankets or towels, 2 blocks, a therapy or tennis ball, and a strap or tie. Wear something comfortable so you can move and breathe freely. If possible, try to set yourself up in a quiet room where you won’t be disturbed.
