When my marriage ended, overnight I became a full time single mom of two young boys. Running my own business, as a full time real estage agent, being the board president of several local non-profits, having three other side businesses and runing an entire household on my own, I felt lost for my children. They'd lost their dad, who wasn't willing to step up and be a parent, so thus they lost their role model. With little to no understanding of what happened they didn't deserve that. Big Brothers, Big Sisters was there for my oldest at a critial time in his life. For a year he had a big he could look up to. Unfortuantly because of lack in volunteering both my kids are without a "big brother" but I still sing praises to the organiztion. I hope they can get more volunteer's so my children and I can re-vist!
